It’s been pretty quiet around here – still too warm, a bit more rain (the fish in the pond are thankful), early morning walks for Stu and the #2doods, and eating too much “off diet” food. We’re working on getting back on track.
I’m doing a first edit on Paradise Dawn, the prequel to my C’Mon Inn Mystery series. I’ve trashed chapters, added them back, moved them around, removed characters that come later and added a couple new characters. So much shuffling that I’m reading through it to see if what I have so far makes sense. Then I’ll tackle writing the last couple of chapters before another edit. Oh, and then some time in the next year (or two), book #4, Paradise Dream, will get written.
But what’s next? Not sure since I have several series in planning mode. Here are the choices and you can vote for your choice! Read these posts on my author blog to learn more about the choices:
- Callie’s Cafe Mysteries
- Murder Beach Mysteries
- Hunt & Tech Mysteries
- Red Line Coffee Mysteries
I have an order in my head but it’s wide open, so vote for your pick and help me out. Thanks!
On the health side of things, I’m still in recovery mode but doing great. My appointment is 8/18 when, hopefully, I will get the release to go back to “normal” (whatever that is). It will feel good to be able to sweep, mop, vacuum, etc. whenever I want to. Stu has been great about it but I do feel like a nag at times.
If any of you remember Stu’s middle of the night stomach issues that took him to the ER a couple of times in the last year, he’s getting some testing done this week to see if they can determine any reason for it. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does he’s in a lot of pain. Heart issues have been ruled out twice now so we know it’s not that. Since he’s also due for his colonoscopy, he’ll be getting scoped top and bottom. LOL!
In closing, a couple more pics of the #2doods. The first is Cooper sleeping with one of his tiny baby squirrels. He’s had them since he first came home, they’ve been replaced due to wear but never chewed up. It’s still his favorite toy, he tosses it around like a cat would play with something. The second is Murphy in his favorite spot – he’s getting a lot of graying and you can see it in his front feet.
