We last posted on May 3rd and now the month is almost over! It’s been a busy month and it’s still busy so here’s a brief synopsis with links to photos.
- The three grandgirls came and had a blast. We will see them next October in Maryland. Besides Dollywood, Wonderworks, and fishing in our pond, they got to sit at the airport with Stu for several hours due to weather delays (yes, they let him go back with them – they were the ones that offered). [photos]
- I made some delicious smoked kielbasa vegetable soup for the first time. It won’t be the last! [photo]
- Just before it got hot (running in mid-upper 80s right now), the thermostat for our HVAC uni went bad. Fortunately it was quickly replaced and the AC is back working.
- Flowers still blooming!
- Rain, rain, and more rain for days. Then nothing but heat.
- Water outage for most of the day thanks to a major leak somewhere in the system.
- This ^^^ allowed Stu to dig up one of the septic lines and fix a leak because he knew we weren’t going to be running any water. LOL!
- My grandson in Kansas got married! [photo]
- We attended the Smoky Mountain Scottish Games and had fun. While good, we still like the event we attended in Florida better. We will attend that one again in 2023 (on a cruise for the 2022 date). [photos]
- BIG snapping turtle in the yard, trying to get out and down to the creek behind our property. Might be the same big one we previously relocated.
[2021-05 photo] [2020-03 photo] - Bought some Cooleroo sun shades for the back porch, taking down the fake bamboo ones that were a bit of a pain to put up and down. [photo]
The only other news is a sale on my book, Not a Whisper, the first book in my Klondike Pennsylvania mystery series. Regularly $4.99, it’s on sale on sale for $1.99 from 5/28 through 5/31, then $2.99 through 6/4 when it goes back to the full price. Don’t forget, you can get the prequel, Just a Stranger, for free via my newsletter signup (you can unsubscribe at any time). Oh, and be sure to tell your family and friends!
Ciao for now!
