Yes, it’s been more than a month since our last post. Thought it was time for a quick update so here’s a little synopsis.
- My shoulder is still recovering, albeit more slowly than I’d like – getting older sure is fun!
- We cancelled my birthday trip to Dollywood due to the large number of bees and yellow jackets being reported as well as sharp rises in COVID cases. My birthday was spent quietly at home.
- I’m taking a hiatus from writing. You can read all the details HERE.
- We’re still plowing through medical checkups, soon to be done. So far, all is good for both of us.
- The #2doods are doing good. Cooper is staying ear infection free after his last bout where they used a different (newer) treatment. Murphy is recovered from his cyst removal surgery but will need two more on the back of his neck removed at some point.
- We have scaled back our trip to Maryland, Stu will skip the Red Helmet ride this year.
- The Jeep will be getting new tires before our trip to MD. The RV will keep the current tires and stay in the pole barn. Yup, driving to MD and back.
- We are keeping our fingers crossed, but if all goes well we will be getting the electric installed in the pole barn.
- I’m taking a hiatus from writing. You can read all the details HERE. In conjunction with this, I’m simplifying things as much as possible (writing related). That means cutting expenses which is important for us in the nasty economy with rising prices on a fixed income.
There’s probably more, I’ll probably remember them as soon as I post this. LOL!
We are loving the cooler weather that has moved in and so are the #2doods. But I admit to not looking forward to the time change which will be here sooner than later. It’s already getting darker earlier. Stu is just looking forward to not needing to mow the lawn every couple of days!
Oh, and I splurged and bought myself a new coffee cup after seeing a friend post hers on Facebook. It’s my new daily cup!
Ciao for now!
Donna, I love the mug! Sorry you had to cancel Dollywood. Fall and the covid surge have me wanting to snuggle inside with a blanket, a hot beverage and good book. Stay safe.
My son is building a pole barn on his new farm. DIY, got any hints or tips I could pass along? He’s actually turning it into his workshop for the Murphy Beds.
