The last month of 2021 has hit us hard. Really hard. Stu lost his brother on Christmas Day and my brother’s wife of 31 years was diagnosed with terminal metastatic pancreatic cancer. A lot of tears have been and will be shed before all is said and done.
On Sunday we went and got COVID tests, results to be in early this week. Keeping our fingers crossed. Just wanted to be sure before we board the dogs and head to Florida for our two 6 day cruises. Once there, we get rapid COVID tests on Sunday in order to board the ship on Monday. Again, keeping our fingers crossed.
My cozy mystery short story AN ELF-ING MESS did well. I mean, heck, it’s only 99 cents! By Sunday night I had sold 65 copies. That means $25.04 income against $29 spent for a newsletter mailing list ad I placed. Yeah, I never even break even. But as long as you enjoy reading my books, I’ll try to keep writing them.
Stu has been hitting all the holiday sales and picking up things for the pole barn. One item was insulation for the walls. He got some installed along with the boards necessary so he could hang the metal cabinets he bought and the metal perforated boards for hanging tools, etc. He and our good friend, Earl, along with help from our neighbor and his tractor, got the big compressor moved into it’s new home in the attached shed at the back of the pole barn. Still some more work to do before the installation is finished.
Not much else in news, so here are some bird photos taken out of our kitchen window with my old iPhone 6.
Wow, sorry to hear about Stu’s brother. Give him my sympathies please. Prayers for your sister-in-law. Hugs to you both and the Doods and here’s hoping for a better New Year for all of us. ♥♥♥
Thank you. You did meet Marie in May 2003 when you came up to our house in Holiday for the grand opening of the New Port Richey Harley dealer. We had a houseful, including LaLa. LOL!
