First, a little update on Murphy. It’s been a journey. He came home loopy for about 36 hours, slept a lot so no big issues. We used the donut collar and hubby put a sock on the back foot. Then we caught him managing to lick the sutures, so the cone got put back on. It took a bit to learn to navigate corners and we had to guide him into the crate.
We felt so bad for him. The following day, we changed back to the collar and put a shirt on him. That seems to be the ticket and has worked well for a couple of days now.. The cone was a pain because he couldn’t eat or drink so we either had to hold the bowls up for him or change to the collar and change back. Plus he wouldn’t go up or down the steps to the back yard.
Tomorrow he gets all the original surgical staples removed by our vet and next Friday he will get the sutures removed. We’ve been examining the suture area and it looks great!
Tuesday was the day scheduled for our roof replacement by Risher Roofing out of Cookeville. The weather cooperated, the crew arrived early, and they made fast work of it. Eight hard workers, they did a professional job and it looks great. Here are a few photos taken during the day.
Getting the shingles up to the roof
Once done they cleaned the entire yard of debris and roofing nails. Impressive!
We are very happy with the work from Risher Roofing and highly recommend them to anyone in the Upper Cumberland area needing roofing work. You can see all the photos & videos we took in our SmugMug album.
Nice roof (nice home too) Love your dog. He looks so pitiful, but adorable in his sock/neck cones.
Thanks, he is so patient. One more week and hopefully he’ll be done with it all.
