A pinch of this & a dash of that…

April snuck quietly as March went out with a bam. Forecasters say tornado alley is moving more easterly and I know we’ve been under more tornado watches in the last four years than the previous four. The last storm did a lot of damage to other places, leveling small towns and dropping a roof on a venue with over 200 occupants. I stayed up all night, waiting it out, and have to admit that at one point the wind scared me. I was so glad we got our roof replaced the week before!

Stu is busy prepping for his annual spring trip to Maryland, seeing his dentist (still haven’t found a good one on our plan here locally) and getting his annual hearing test done (and hearing aids cleaned and adjusted). He’ll see family & friends and forget to take photos. He’ll attend a memorial for a former co-worker. I’m just hoping the weather stays nice since he plans to ride the motorcycle.

I’m busy keeping up with blog posts – mine and reading others – during the April A to Z Blog Challenge. I hope you are checking out my daily photos on authorshutterbug.com where the theme is My Life in Black & White. Over on my author site, dbmcnicol.com, the theme is Small Delights, Simple Pleasures, & Significant Memories.

Murphy got his stitches out last Friday and is happy to be back to his norm. Tomorrow he gets a bath and nail trim. He was due for a face/feet/fanny trim on the day he had his surgery. They’ll both enjoy a play day in the morning and come home tired.

We’ve mentioned getting AirTags for our luggage and they worked so well (suitcases & backpacks), we got another four pack when they went on sale at Amazon recently (and still are $10 off the 4 pack). Two of them went on the dogs using these collar holders, one went on Stu’s keyring and the last one on my purse.

When Stu took Murphy to get his stitches out, he tested the FIND MY to see where Cooper was. It worked great. He sent me a screen shot…

Then the other day Cooper managed to get out of the fence (no idea how), didn’t come to the back door when called, so Stu tried the FIND MY again. It showed Cooper was at the house – and he was, at the front door, not sure about the beeping sound the Air Tag was making. We call this a WIN!

Ciao for now!
