Just a quick update with very few details. Last week, Stu picked up the new lift for the pole barn (Backend of Nowhere Garage). He’s been researching and watching prices for over a year now and when the one he wanted went on sale at Lowe’s, he hit the BUY button.
When it arrived, he borrowed our neighbor’s flatbed trailer and headed to Lowe’s where they used a forklift to load it. Once home, our neighbor brought his tractor over and they managed to unload it off the trailer and into the barn. Phew!
From there, Stu spent the last week assembling it. I’ve snapped dozens of photos from our security cameras and while most don’t make sense to anyone not understanding what was going on, you can view them all HERE. I’m so proud of what he’s accomplished BY HIMSELF!!
Needless to say, I’ve been a nervous wreck during most of this process, thus the many photo as I checked on the progress.
We attempted to take a break on Thursday and went to neighboring Cookeville to see a movie. Alas, it wasn’t meant to happen. We normally use Flickster to check on movies and they let us down. The 1:00 movie time was wrong. So, we picked up our items at the local seamstress and went to lunch at Logan’s. We hadn’t been there since pre-covid and a lot had changed. It was okay, not sure how soon we will go again.
We downloaded the AMC movie app (as suggested by the movie theater staff) and I noticed the movie, Fast X, was showing at 11:45 on Sunday. We decided to give it a try with the combination of an early on Sunday (before church let out) and a holiday weekend along with a not-first-week-release. It worked out. We were the first in the theater and maybe half a dozen others came in later. The movie was fun and it was obvious CGI had taken over most of the stunt scenes. I’m sure it saves on people and prop costs. LOL! It did end in a cliffhanger and part two isn’t coming out till 2025! Eeek!
Me? I managed to finally get my latest book published on Amazon. Yes, Mocha & Melodies is now up for sale on Amazon in both digital and print versions. It’s a fun little novella mystery in the Red Line Coffee Shop Mystery Series.
Don’t you hate the non-endings of movies? I like them neatly tied up! What if they never make the next one? I guess you can imagine the ending for yourself. Then again, that’s a popular franchise, so I suppose it will never stop!
They definitely left it open for several ways to continue it. I just wish we didn’t have to wait so long.
Our men are resourceful aren’t they!
Yes they are!
