As mentioned in an earlier post, our daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her initial diagnosis was in July. Since then, she has had a second tumor found which moves her from a stage 1 to a stage 2 cancer. We are doing what we can to show our support, even something as small as awareness bracelets.
- Stu’s is a paracord one we got on Amazon, sized to his wrist (measured at 7″ ordered the 7.5″ length).
- My beaded one is also from Amazon and is a bit big for my small wrist so I keep it behind my watch band.
- My custom paracord bracelet is from Etsy in the color called Flamingo and it has a slide-lock magnetic clasp and was ordered to fit my wrist. I can wear it above or below my watchband.
The rhinestone charm is from Amazon and was easily added to the paracord bracelet.
Our daughter has started a GoFundMe to help defray her loss of income. She is a behavioral counselor for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Thus she is an independent contractor and doesn’t get paid when she can’t see clients. She is currently scheduled for surgery on 8/23 but that could be delayed with more testing/test results. Regardless, between the surgery and future chemo, she will miss a lot of work. Any help is greatly appreciated – even $5. Thank you.
