It’s April first, traditionally April Fools Day. Few things to mention – my newsletter came out today and announced my retirement from writing.
And I started the 2024 April A to Z Blog Challenge with my post A – Afterthought. It’s been really different writing this way and I hope the story makes sense by the end. I hope you will follow along (and I love comments).
At home, spring is popping up all over. Tree buds, flowers, and weeds. Stu has mowed several times and done some other yard work before it gets too out of hand. His current project is working on the material requirements for replacing our deck. We hope to start sometime in May, definitely June. No idea how long it will take since he will be doing all the work himself.
Before he starts, the fence beside the woodworking shed needs to be moved up to the front edge of the garage. That side garage door will be how Cooper will access the back yard. We’re hoping to find an old wood door that we don’t mind cutting into to install a doggie door for him. The current door is only a year or so old, having replaced the original door that was rotting.
