Wow! Stu has done an amazing job of taking down the deck. The only thing left to do is remove the last piece of ledger board that is attached to our existing porch. He had to go buy a cat’s paw crowbar to pull it out enough to get hold of to remove.

We got a new magnetic screen door mounted on the garage door and Cooper is loving the freedom to go in and out. He still isn’t barking to come in, so we just keep checking the garage.
There is still more to be done before ordering the new deck components, not sure when that project will start. But we three are ready!
What a great job Stu has done on demo! Just think of the labor costs he saved. Wondering if you will be constructing the new deck out of composite materials, last a lifetime and very low maintenance. I think Stu has earned a couple of days of REST!
Yes, we are replacing using composite materials. Much less maintenance and with the lumber price increases, not that much more.
