The heat has been oppressive (not just here, but most everywhere) but Stu continues to work on the deck a couple hours in the mornings and then again in the late afternoon. All the materials except the runners for the steps and the railings have been delivered. He still has to run out for little things, but the deck rebuild is progressing quite well.
In bigger news, Stu has decided it’s time to sell the trike. While he still enjoys riding, it sits most of the time. Plus, we need to upgrade our other vehicles… We currently have the 2001 F-250 pickup and the 2011 Jeep Patriot. Both are getting a bit tired so it’s time to buy the vehicles that we will own till someone takes our keys away.
We have done a ton of research and have narrowed our search down to a Honda Ridgeline to replace the pickup and a Subaru Forester to replace the Jeep. Needless to say, we will be adding two car payments to our budget but selling the trike along with the two older vehicles will help keep them down to a manageable size.
So, if you know ANYONE who might be interested in our trike (and trailer), please send them this link for more information.
Time definitely brings changes. I remember the last few years we were traveling, I would bring up to Dave selling the Harley because we used it so little. Little enough that if we were going to go for a ride, I’d make him take it out a few times before I’d add myself to the equation. I told hime I felt like it was a truck bed ornament! We used it about 8 times when we moved to NM & before he got sick.
I am pleased that it now resides in Montana with the youngest daughter, & they are definitely using it. Plus, Mark takes me for rides when I go visit!

I haven’t been able to ride on the back of the trike for a couple years other than a short (1 hr or less) ride. Darn arthritis… I am hoping we can find a good home for this. Then we have to start getting rid of all the motorcycle clothes and other gear! LOL! Glad you still get to ride on the back! Hugs!!
Get the wilderness pkg for the Subaru. My daughter has a forester and it is a HARD ride. My sister got her and I was a bit leery going on a trip in it. But she has the wilderness (?) pkg. Very nice!!!!!! We got a Ford Edge as we are a little larger than you 2 lean people and you can put 2 full size adults in the back seat. We also check out a VW -Atlas? It only had a soft covering for sunroof. Our son already had a problem with that and hubby has migraines so we choose the Edge with the hard cover.
I think we are looking at either the Limited or the Touring.
