The next step on the deck rebuild is putting up the railing around the deck and handrails on the stairs. The weather is perfect, but Stu is still gathering the needed supplies. He put up a sample section for me to see how it would look. The wood will be stained as close to the deck color as we can get. The hand rails for the stairs will be pre-made aluminum ones from Amazon.

The further away you get from the black wire grid, the more invisible it gets. This is the handrail he’s ordered, one for each side (I asked for both rather than just one side).
Let’s hope the weather continues as gorgeous as today – low 70s, dry, sunny! He has seven days left before we head out of town again. Then it will have to wait until we get back in November and who knows what the weather will be like then.
