We’ve been treed!

You may remember our discussion about the 24 trees I ordered (that were the wrong ones but we kept them), well, they are now planted. Phew! Oh yeah, and I helped. Honest, I really did. We haven’t taken a good photo but you can see them in the close-up I took with my camera.

The next set of trees arrived today, they will be in totes like the ones we just planted until we are ready to plant them on the north fence line. Stu has to rototill that area and add mulch. These trees will grow wider and taller than the first batch so the tilling and mulching may take longer to accomplish. We have ten more coming after taking a final measurement of the area.

Our Red Bud trees have been blooming beautifully. So glad I captured this photo before the 50mph winds hit today. We had to move the patio furniture over to the deck railing, the wind was sliding the chairs all over and one cover was blown off.

Today’s project was some living room furniture “refurbishment”. This furniture was bought from the previous owner when we bought the house. The tag on the underneath says 2005 so it’s twenty years old. The spot where I sit had gotten really compressed as well as the back, requiring me to use a pillow. After examining the sections, Stu thought we could exchange the seats/backs from the far ends of the loveseat and sofa, using the mostly unused sections where I sit.

Well, it worked! Another great job done by Stu! Call me one happy camper today….

Ciao for now!

Quite the Energizer bunny(ies). You’re making me tired! I’ve gotten quite a few bushes pruned, not time for the Russian sage yet. It was only 22 this morning!

Thanks, Lisa. The photo is from our trip to Scotland in the fall of 2023. A definite favorite of mine, too. Thanks for the visit and comment!
