…but I do have Cooper with me. Stu is in Maryland for a host of activities: 25th firefighter reunion dinner, two birthdays, first great-granddaughter’s birth, and granddaughter’s dance recital. Phew!
Me, I’m doing what I usually do. Chores around the house, watering newly planted trees and bushes, filling the bird feeders, continuing to purge my closet and other stuff, and – oh yeah – writing blogs! (I hope you will bop over to my new personal blog where I did the April A-Z posts. Lots of new memory posts and other topics. Just Call Me Froggi
Stu left yesterday morning and within five minutes, the first catastrophe – the toilet paper holder in our main bathroom broke. I had to laugh…
Until later in the day. I got an alert from our security camera about motion on our front porch. I wasn’t expecting anyone and rather than take time to check the app, I just opened the door. There stood Cooper!
If you’ve followed us the last couple of years, Cooper has been our escape artist. Sneaking out through tiny spots, digging his way out, and who knows how. I brought him inside, praised him for coming “in the house” (our phrase we use when we go out front with him, usually to check the mail) and gave him a treat. Then I pulled shoes on and went out to see how he got out of the back yard. I had walked 90% of the perimeter and as I approached the other side of the yard, this greeted me.
I closed it and made sure it latched. (Later, when I chatted with Stu he said it must not have latched tightly and Cooper may have bumped it enough that it opened). Phew!
Not sure when I’ll blog again – lots to do! LOL!

Poodles are smart like that (I know he’s a mix, but still…).
Yup, but he’s 3/4 Poodle and only 1/4 Golden Retriever. If we got him groomed in a poodle cut, you couldn’t tell the difference – definitely has the poodle build.
Our furkids sure keep us hopping, don’t they?
