We are experiencing the unusually warm weather, same as most of the middle/eastern US. But that didn’t stop Stu from washing Blaze in preparation for our first cruise-in.
There were several to chose from – this one was just down the road from us and was benefiting the local county Chamber of Commerce’s drive for school supplies. I had already hit the local Dollar Store and bought $30 worth of items on the school supply list for grades 1-5.
I tried to get a good photo of us in the car and didn’t really succeed, but here it is anyway. LOL!
We knew it was going to be in the upper 80s so were glad we got to park in the shade which kept the temps bearable all day. We were there from 11am to 2pm and enjoyed chatting with others (yeah, Stu especially enjoyed this). Here are some pics…
Here is Blaze, showing off her stuff. Still a lot of work to do, but she looked good. Our new bag chairs were great and since we were in the shade, we didn’t have to pull up the sunshades. These were a good purchase from Amazon!
There are anywhere from two-six car shows every weekend, many within a 30 minute drive, so this won’t be our last one. Oh, and for anyone in the area, be sure to stop by the Cumberland Mountain General Store and grab a bite to eat at the Java Drop Cafe after shopping. The burgers were amazing!
Blaze is a beauty! Of course, her daddy probably tends to baby her…
Yes he does – he’s less than halfway through her restoration but we can take her for local rides.
