How is everyone doing? How did your area deal with the July 4th holiday? Ours cancelled all activities except fireworks from a distance. But that didn’t stop backyard celebrations, time on the water, and lots of BBQing, even as our state sees rising numbers of COVID-19 cases and at least two counties rolled restrictions back into place.
Us? A quiet weekend as I end my second week post-surgery. Tuesday is my two week check-up in Knoxville and I expect all will be good. My restrictions will continue until almost the end of August to ensure complete healing. Wish I could use the elliptical but that’s a no-no. Maybe time for a treadmill? LOL!
This is how the boys in the house help me….
My recovery has been slower than I anticipated with fatigue the ruling factor rather than pain, which has been mostly non-existent. If I spend the day in the living room using the laptop, I end up over tired and spending the next day in bed after sleeping 9-10 hours. I’m hoping this week will be the turn-around. I have a lot of writing I’d let to get back to….time to wrap up “Paradise Dawn” the prequel to my C’Mon Inn Mysteries.

Not much else for news. Stu has been busy making sure I get the rest I need, taking on the housecleaning, laundry & cooking in addition to his usual yardwork, feeding the fish, keeping vehicles running, and taking care of the #2doods.
Speaking of them – Cooper got an ear infection, actually, both ears were infected. Our vet squeezed him in on Monday and we hope all the meds he’s getting will take care of things. We’ve had issues with his right ear since we brought him home three years ago. It’s a poodle thing – too much ear hair combined with heavy, floppy ears creates a warm environment. Perfect breeding ground for yeast and bacteria.
Can you see it? The windows blinds dissect the view of the Knowville Sunsphere but I enjoyed seeing it from my hospital bed. For those who don’t know, the Sunsphere was the theme structure for the 1982 World’s Fair which was held in Knoxville, TN.
