That’s what the snow has been doing…egad! C’mon spring (and muddy weather). We have a full week ahead of us. Today we are getting our first COVID vaccinations in the morning, then Stu is heading to Lenoir City to pick up our new generator.
You know what that means. We won’t have a power outage the rest of the year…and that’s okay. We’ll be prepared. He still has electrical work to do, then a state inspector has to okay it before we can use it. So not just plug and play, at least initially. We can run a few things off extension cords if needed until the install is complete.
Then on Tuesday, the Jeep has to go in for some work. Hoping it doesn’t hit our budget too bad. Lots of $$$ in outlay recently with more to come. Stu broke a tooth and will be visiting a new local dentist on Thursday.
Trying to keep this short – I need to get back to work on formatting my current books. Check out my author blog post for details (especially if you ever tried to download my Klondike Mystery prequel short story, Just a Stranger). March is already shaping up to be busy as well, medically. The arthritis in my left hand has gotten worse so I’ll be visiting the same doctor in Knoxville that did Stu’s carpal tunnel surgery. I expect to end up with a shot of cortisone and hopefully, that will help. I also have my annual eye exam as well as my six-month mammogram recheck. Neverending!
The end of the month brings some relaxation – we’re doing to the dirt races at Bristol Motor Speedway. I remember going to dirt track races in the early 60s as a teenager. We went to Hudson Raceway and I loved it. While not a big NASCAR fan, I thought this would be fun to attend. There is still limited attendance, social distancing, and mask-wearing, but that’s okay. Needless to say, we will be off-line for most of March 26-29. I will try to check-in from the hotel from time to time.
I won’t bore you with more snow pictures, but here are a couple cute ones of the #2doods.
