Time is flying and there is always more that needs to be done. There are days I feel like I’m going backwards, but in reality I know I am creeping forward. Thinking back over the last couple of weeks, here are the highlights.
We are in the middle of selling our RV (Freightliner and fifth-wheel toy hauler) to our youngest daughter and her husband. First thing Stu had to do was move the rig and Freightliner into the pole barn where he can work, even if it’s raining. He has spent a lot of time cleaning things out, repairing little things, and general cleaning in preparation for the delivery. He will leave mid-month, headed to Maryland with the trike in the garage for his trip home.
Stu had a visit with our ortho doc – got another cortisone shot and they did an MRI this time. He has similar damage to mine and will need the same surgery. Since we have our big trip this fall, he will get one more cortisone shot in early September and will schedule the surgery once we return home.
We started doing some early morning walking, but that has been stopped due to the temperatures. We did enjoy the sights while we were out…
The daffodils are popping up all over…
And the bunnies are running amok all over the yard, driving Cooper crazy!
I’ve been busy writing blogs and slowly working on the characters and rough outline for my next book, Frozen Dough. I did a cover release over on my author blog. You can see it HERE.
If you’re not following MY personal blog, I posted there about the death of an aunt this week. She was 98 or 99, I can’t remember and will be missed. More about here HERE.
I’m still working on our packing for Europe and have started laying out some things on our guest bed (will have to clear it all away if anyone comes visit before September…LOL). I did a practice pack of 85% of my clothes and they all fit in my 19″ Travelpro Maxlite 5 suitcase. So I can easily fit all my clothes as well as other essentials in the two suitcases (the Travel Pro and the 21″ Delsey). We plan to each carry 1/2 of the others things in the bigger suitcase, just in case a bag gets lost.
We also have decided on a sturdier backpack for flying. We have lightweight ones for walking around Scotland, Barcelona, and Rome, but the new backpacks will work out better for the airlines. They are sized to fit RyanAir baggage limitations and right now, that is the most probably airline for us to use. The back section easily holds my 11″ MacBook Air laptop and will hold Stu’s iPad Pro 12″. (He got red, I got dark green).
Changing to these meant losing the locking zippers, so we ordered a bunch of micro-lock carabiners that will hold the zippers together and aren’t easy to unlock.
So that about wraps things up – not sure when I will post again, so be sure to subscribe to all our blogs to be notified. The subscribe box is in the right hand column (or may be at the bottom of the page on phones).
