Now that the deck is gone, Stu got our neighbor to come over with his tractor and scrape the sod up and flatten the deck footprint area. He also used it to pick up the four embedded flagstones that won’t be reused. Love having helpful neighbors…
The next step is to put in the eleven footers needed to support the deck. All the supplies are here, so holes will be dug and concrete will be mixed and poured for proper support. Oh, goody!

“Love having helpful neighbors” – Indeed, especially when you need to change every fluid on the tractor in the middle of February lol. That’s how we got introduced after all.
