The major portion of the materials for the deck rebuild were scheduled to be delivered on June 26th and Stu made sure to be home from his last trip to Maryland in time. Of course, he then got an email it was delayed to July 1st. Okay. Then he got another that it was July 3rd. Fine, whatever. But then he got THREE voicemails about needing to change the delivery date for PART of the order.
After fifteen minutes on the phone (hold and three transfers), it was resolved. The major portion of the deck materials will be delivered on July 1st. They were attempting to hold the entire order till it all arrived but one part is still backordered. So Stu okayed the delivery tomorrow. Phew!
Here are some photos to take you through what has been done on the deck rebuild during the month of June. Since Stu was traveling three out of the four weeks – um – not much.
Once the middle boards were in place, it was time to add some gravel underneath.
Today’s project was installing two new solar powered security cameras that we just ordered from Amazon. We’ve had good luck with all the TP-Link products, better than our Wyze products that are getting old. We use TP-Link smart-plugs all over the house and pole barn so when we got an email about pre-ordering these solar powered ones, we thought why not?!?
The first one replaces the one on our deck, the one that goes offline without any reason that we can discern. Then it will come back online on a whim. Ugh! We hope this one works better and will last longer. Here’s some pics of the install and final view.
This is the snapshot of my view of Stu looking at the view on his phone.
This is the final view from the camera.
We put the second one on the side of the garage where Cooper now goes in and out.
I wish I understood anything.
If you are talking about the deck build – same here! LOL!
