Not much, really. The weather has been too hot or stormy for Stu to get much done on the deck. We anticipated it would take all summer and that’s the way it looks like it will be. Here is the last photo I snapped from the back porch. Stu is currently working on the area for the steps.
I’m busy prepping for the sale next weekend, hoping to sell at least half of our accumulated motorcycle gear at the bike show. Stu dug out our old canopy (10×10 which is the amount of allotted vendor space) and we have two folding chairs. We’ll also take a couple of folding metal benches he uses, they will hold the assorted helmet. I bought a folding garment rack from Amazon and the multiple jackets, pants, and rain gear will hang on it. All in all, I just have to finish pricing and put on the tags. Phew! Here’s a couple of photos, not including the motorcycle luggage that’s out in the garage.
We did install all new security cameras on both the house and the pole barn. Our Wyze ones worked for years but they were slowly failing and becoming erratic. We started with some solar powered ones from TP-Link Tapo that were on sale, much easier for Stu to install. All our our smart plugs are from TP-Link Kasa and they’ve functioned well for several years now.
We liked the quality so much we ordered more A/C powered ones for inside and out. It’s taken a bit to get the sensitivity and boundaries set up, but all in all, we are quite pleased. The picture quality is much higher than the old cameras, an added bonus. So now we static ones, pan/tilt ones, powered ones, and solar ones. We’re well protected!
The new cameras have picked up a bunny in the driveway and out front by the porch. So cute! We’re used to seeing the neighborhood cats & one dog in the videos, but the bunny was a first. Here are the links if you want to see him. Driveway, Front Porch 1, Front Porch 2.
We have also gained a back yard occupant, one we’d like to get rid of. A rather large ground hog. Stu caught this photo out the kitchen window.
Stu took the trike in for detailing earlier this week and it was ready to pick up today. While he was in town, he decided to head over to Honda to see about a new Honda Ridgeline. They let him bring it home for me to test drive. We may opt to trade in the bike now and just get it done. Time will tell. Eventually we will get the Subaru Forester to replace the 2011 Jeep. We’ll just sell the 2001 Ford F-250 outright as a work truck.
More on all the later…I’ve got to get back to pricing gear!

Lots of bike gear. Hubby has lots of tools. And suggestions on how to convince him to divest of some?
Um, tools? Never – remember, we have a HUGE (bigger than the house) pole barn full of tools (plus what’s in the 2 car garage and the wood shed). LOL!
