We use our guest room closet for storage of clothes we don’t wear too often as well as all our cruise and travel paraphernalia. That meant four large totes – heavy to move, especially you wanted to bottom on on the farthest corner. As we’ve cleaned out clothes, we ended up with two empty dresser drawers. That put me on the search for a different way to store our gear.
After much searching, reading reviews, and checking prices, I bought two stacking units from Amazon: HOMIDEC Closet Organizer. I wanted drawer style for easy access and the unit had to be on wheels so they could be easily moved. I ended up with a slight compromise, drop-down drawer fronts instead of slide-out drawers.
The units arrived yesterday and were easy to snap together. I spent the afternoon putting stuff into them and was quite pleased with the results. We had two square folding mesh cubes that we used to use on cruises for laundry. One of them now holds all the assorted packing cubes and bags. It sits on top of the organizer. Stu’s clothes are in the dresser and my (small pile) are in a small tote set to the side of the organizer. I’ve ordered a some small bins to put inside some of the drawers, making it easier to get small items in and out. All in all, I’m quite happy with the results.
I stuck index cards in the front, listing the contents but will probably end up removing them. LOL!
