No, not the song, but Stu’s work on the office walls in the pole barn. Things are progressing. He has bought the door that will replace our interior garage door between the garage and utility room. That door will become his office door. When we had our original house inspection done we were told the current door didn’t meet code standards because it’s wood with a window (not rated to be between a garage and a living space). I will miss the window tremendously but at least we have a use for it.
The weather has been warmer and the sunrise was beautiful this morning before the rain moved in (thanks to Stu for getting these photos).
We’ve ordered the replacement toilet for the guest bath – the current toilet will be installed in the bathroom area in the office. We already have a stall shower that was purchased quite some time ago. We still have to get a sink. Then the plumbing will commence later this spring before these are all installed.
The only other thing of note was Stu’s eye doctor appointment to get his right eye zapped. It had developed a film over it, a common complication of cataract surgery, and was to the point where it needed to be removed. A quick laser zap did it – less than a minute. But of course, the exam and dilation took much longer. LOL! He’s quite pleased with the improvement and has been told it will not return. Good news. I have one eye with a slight film but not bad enough to get zapped yet.
Cooper came along for the ride and we waited in the car – quite comfortable with a sunny fifty degree day. Here he is, keeping a watchful eye on anyone who dared walk in the parking lot.
WOW that is some man cave Stu has!
Fulfilling a life-long dream for him. Next will be a project vehicle to work on.
I had that laser procedure done last month. Really helped my distance vision.
He was amazed at the difference…
