Wild and wacky weekend!

Welcome to Monday, a cold but sometimes sunny day. Much better than the weekend weather. We missed the tornado warnings but did have a watch for a while. What we did get was wind and rain. A LOT of wind and rain. Our pond is full, just hoping we eventually see some fish back in there.

Our power went out shortly after 11pm on Saturday. Stu started the generator on Sunday morning, so glad we have it. The power finally came back around 6pm on Sunday. Our internet was flaky so we spent most of the day working off our phones. But we’re not complaining, so many had it much worse.

The worst wind actually happened very last Saturday night and we did have a little damage.

But that wasn’t all. Our next door neighbor came over to let Stu know part of the roof on his woodworking shed was raising up. They can see it from their yard – thank goodness for good neighbors. Here’s the two of them headed to get the needed supplies – with Cooper’s help, of course.

Our hearts go out to all those who lost so much more, even in areas close to us. These storms are scary and becoming more frequent.

Stu did get a little more done in his hobby barn – be sure to check out his update: It’s plated!

Surprisingly, we often can get Amazon deliveries on Sunday and yesterday was no exception. I have been looking at a specific item for over a month. When I finally found one the right size with good reviews, I ordered it and it arrived yesterday. It’s a slide tray for under small appliances. You can see it underneath our two coffee makers. It’s a slide tray to make it easier for us to fill the water tanks on both. It comes in both clear (what I ordered) and black. We do have to close the Barista top slightly, but that’s not an issue. Stu is thrilled!

And lastly, some cute photos of Cooper – deep asleep, at rest after play, digging out his bone.

Ciao for now!
