First, it appears Stu brought some type of virus home with him from Maryland. It seems like it might be the new COVID based upon our symptoms. Glad it’s mild, but the fatigue is a killer right now. Hoping it’s gone soon, whatever it is.
Tomorrow we get our new windows from Window World installed so yesterday Stu took down all the outside awnings and shutters. Today all the window curtains, blinds, and security alarm sensors came down. Glad it’s a mostly cloudy day, otherwise the heat would be miserable. Really hoping the new windows will help and it’s just in time since our forecast show temps in the 80s by Friday. Ugh! I am so not a summer person.
Stu has been having a lot of hip pain recently so saw the ortho doc where he got a shot of cortisone. This is his second one. The first helped a lot. This one, not so much so he’ll be calling for another appointment.
If you missed the news (from Facebook or wherever), Stu bought a donor car for the Falcon. You can read all about it in his Backend of Nowhere Garage post today. There is a remote possibility that a second Ranchero might appear – we’ll see what happens in July.
Cooper is, well, Cooper. He loves being a shop dog and I’ve snapped a few security camera photos of him.
He does have a mat and hammock bed, but right now he still prefers the cool cement floor.
In the last bit of news, we knew we had a gopher and our neighbor snapped a photo of it from his yard looking into our back yard. Hopefully we can get it gone soon!

I do hope you recover quickly! I was certainly weary and for a day I just slept. The next day not so much, and after that I felt okay. I also had a headache for those first few days but that, too, subsided. I wonder if it’s the same strain.
In any case, recover quickly!
Started with sore throat and upset stomach. Stayed queasy for the last 5 days, headaches for 3-4. Now fatigue and shortness of breath linger on…all symptoms of the new COVID and hubby has the fatigue, too. He’s on week two, I’m just finishing week one. Sigh…but it sure could be worse.
