14 Years, but he’s not here…

It’s our anniversary, 14 years (and some said we wouldn’t make it). It’s been an amazing whirlwind of laughter, adventure, and even a few tears along the way when we lost family. We normally don’t do anything special on our anniversary, well, except for our tenth when we booked a fantastic Walt Disney World vacation.

This isn’t the first time Stu hasn’t been home for our anniversary, but it’s always with my blessing. This time he’s in Maryland (arriving late today) for a coworker funeral tomorrow, a couple of medical appointments, and some family time.

So tonight, he’ll drink a beer and I’ll drink a Kahlua and Cream, and we’ll toast each other on Facetime!

Ciao for now!

When David and I first decided to get married, most people, including my mom, gave us six months. That was 37 years ago. Like any other married couple, we’ve had our good times, our bad, and our really awful. But there’s no-one I would rather sit out on the back deck with and shoot the breeze.

It’s funny how it happens. For us, some of his friends thought he jumped too quick. But we both knew from the beginning that it was right.
