How many eggs make chicken tenders?

Every day Stu goes down to our pond to “feed the fish”. As soon as the #2doods hear that, they’re ready to go! Check them out on this video, and you can see the fish frenzy here and here. As you can see in the photo above, one of the two relocated snapping turtles is back. If we can catch him outside the pond, we will relocate him further away before he eats all our fish. LOL!

Alas, mother Robin built her nest in a precarious spot. The nest has slide downward twice and our four eggs that produced three chicken tenders now only holds one feathered little baby. We can only hope that one survives. Sniff… Here’s a really brief video of the solo fledgling…

The weather has been gorgeous, temps in the upper 70s to low/mid 80s most days. We did get one day of heavy rain – for ten minutes. LOL!

Back sometime this winter, we bought a Wile E. Coyote decal to put on the big dent in the tailgate of our pickup. Initially it was too cold to use it, then the truck went in the shop for a month or so (to the tune of over $3k in needed repairs). When he came home, Stu spent several days cleaning him inside and out and finally put the decal on. We love it!

Remember the rose bushes that were out in front of the house, we cut them almost to the ground and they grew back quickly, so we had them transplanted to along side the fence last year. Guess what? They’re thriving!

Flowers are popping up all over, too.

Two days after discovering we only had one chicken tender left, here is the latest pics of baby robin.

Not much else in the news. We made a quick trip to Knoxville for my pre-op stuff (bloodwork, EKG, & a gazillion questions). This Friday we do it again for my COVID-19 swab test. The #2doods will spend the weekend and the first part of the week at The Dog House, their home away from home. They’ll have a blast. Me? Not so much, surgery on Monday. So…no blog next Monday. If I feel up to it, I will post an update later in the week.
