It’s been a great week! My shoulder recovery is going well – I’d guesstimate I’m at 80% of full motion. Of course, that last 20% will take twice as long to regain as the previous 80%. Right? I’m still braless, wearing a stretchy camisole under my t-shirts (sorry if this is TMI). Later this week I’ll try to stretchy bras I bought before the surgery. I can step into them or pull them over my head. That will help me feel more presentable when I leave the house.
The pups are doing good – they don’t stay outside too long in the summer heat. That means they want in/out every 10-15 minutes. I mean, wouldn’t you want to go out to investigate that sound that no one else can hear? Or that car that drove past? Or the dog bark 10 yards away?
We did some planning for our trip to Scotland in October 2023. We plan to stay at DoubleTree Hotels (by Hilton) in both Edinburgh and Southampton. We managed to book the Southampton nights but the Edinburgh ones weren’t available. After an email discussion with them, they aren’t booked (although that’s what their calendar says), the dates just aren’t available to book. They asked us to try again in Sept/Oct. We also booked our excursion – a five day tour of the highlands of Scotland with Highland Explorers. WHOOP!
Of course, doing that and watching a ton of YouTube videos about traveling to & in Scotland meant buying a few more items. The good thing is what we got was all on sale. We now have the perfect jackets for warmth & layers as well as gloves that we hope will allow us to use our phones while wearing them. They haven’t arrived yet, time will tell.
Stu’s big news: On your mark… And a new great-grandbaby! That’s the second one in a year (the first was Bellamy), plus our newest grandbaby, Salem. The newest is Joey, born to our granddaughter Jessica & her husband, Mike.
Wouldn’t let me give you a “LIKE”! ;->
